Philosophy
The Hof Augstfelde, which is over 750 years old, is situated on Vierer Lake, in the middle of the Plöner lake district in the heart of Holstein Switzerland. There has been camping there at the Vierer Lake for more than 40 years. The guests were welcome here from the very first day. Beautiful Holstein Switzerland, with its charming lakes, its gentle hills and the large forests is a gift of nature for local people and for guests.
Being active in sports, giving children unforgotten hours, letting things go by quietly and in a relaxing fashion, enjoying cultural events - when that is achieved, we are happy.
The camping has heavily changed in the last few years but has still remained what it is. With comfortable, first-class sanitary facilities and equipment meeting the highest standards. At the same time, one can leave behind the rat race and the big-city noise and simply recharge one's batteries.
Take a vacation at the lakes; their water is clean. With people who are natural and cordial.
Sailing, rowing, surfing, swimming - or perhaps pulling a big fish on land while fishing. Hiking, bicycling or horseback riding on quiet forest and field paths.
Guests come from the entire country: People from Berlin and Baden, Schwabia, Hessen and above all North Rhine - Westphalia, the Hanseatic cities and Schleswig-Holstein. And Bavarians are also increasingly being seen, to the delight of the people from Holstein. You will also find guests from all of the neighboring European countries at our site because of the special reputation of the camping park.
Large and small, old and young - they should all feel at home with us.
Environmental protection
Understanding nature and the environment as being a heritage for us and future generations - environmental protection was and is a matter of course.
We have taken a multitude of environmental-protection measures; here is only a small listing:
- Solar heating for hot water
- Central sewage disposal
- Disposal yard with garbage separation, recycling etc.
- Camping park that is nature-bound and harmoniously set in the landscape
- Over 3000 trees and shrubs planted
- Honored as a nature site
Please understand it when we cordially invite you, as a guest, to participate in environmental protection with us. Whether through garbage separation, as little passenger car traffic as possible, adherence to the rest periods, maintenance of the conservation areas - above all at the lakes, doing without chemical additives in chemical toilets and using ecologically-degradable washing agents.
